To
qualify for series end awards, you must ride in at least five (5)
rodeos,
competing
in at least two (2) events at each rodeo.
EACH
CONTESTANT MUST GET A $25.00 (OR MORE)

TO QUALIFY FOR SERIES END PRIZES.
THE
SPONSOR MONEY MUST BE TURNED IN BY MARCH 31st RODEO.
There is
a $25.00 late fee for every rodeo that you don’t have your sponsor money in.
Dummy Roping - Time will start when
contestant crosses starting line and end when slack is pulled. Any legal head catch. Contestant must swing at least once overhead
before throwing at the dummy. Each
contestant will get three loops. The
three times will be averaged together.
Contestant must stay behind dummy, swing overhead and throw loop.
Starting line will be 10 feet from dummy.
Flag Race - Two (2) five (5) gallon
buckets 3/4 full placed on two (2) fifty five (55) gallon barrels. Barrels will be placed one hundred (100) feet
from starting line and fifty (50) apart.
(If arena conditions will not allow these distances, adjustments can be
made.) There will be a five (5) second
penalty for missing a flag. Contestant
can go to either barrel first.
Contestant will be disqualified for circling the barrel, hitting horse
with flag, or knocking barrel over.
Breakaway Roping - There will be a ten (10)
foot score line marked with a barrel for Jr’s.
Contestant will receive a ten (10) second penalty for roping calf before
it crosses score line. Sr’s will use a
barrier with a ten (10) second penalty for breaking the barrier. There will be a thirty (30) second time
limit. The loop must pass over the head
and then catch as catch can. Contestant
may use two (2) loops, but must carry two (2) ropes. Loops cannot be made while roping. Rope must be tied to horn with a string
provided by rodeo committee. Rope must
have a flag tied where string is tied to saddle horn. Contestant cannot break rope from the horn. If calf leaves arena, time will stop and the
calf will be brought back for lap and tap, plus already lapsed time.
Sack Roping - Contestant rides horse across
the start line, runs to the line encircling the sack. From behind the line, they must rope the
sack, dally and pull sack back across finish line in the shortest amount of
time. There will be a two (2) minute
time limit. The sack will be placed one
hundred (100) feet from the start line, inside a fourteen (14) foot diameter
circle; a stick will prop up sack. There
will be a five (5) second penalty if their horse steps on or inside the
circle. A dropped loop is considered a
thrown loop. A contestant may carry only
one rope, however, tow (2) loops are allowed.
Catch, as catch can is a legal catch.
If sack is knocked down, it will be stood back up. Contestant will be disqualified for failure
to complete dally before bag leaves circle, hold the dally until bag crosses
finish line, crossing finish line without the sack, or failure to complete the
event in the amount of time stated.
Goat Tying - Goat will be staked one
hundred (100) feet from starting line on a ten (10) foot rope. If goat is down, it must be brought to its
feet and then thrown. Boys will use a
pigging string. Girls will use a
thong. Goat must stay tied for six (6)
seconds after contestant has cleared goat.
If horse touches goat or rope any time during the run, a ten (10) second
penalty will be given. Contestant will
be disqualified for touching goat or tie string after they have signaled that
they are finished or if goat does not remain tied for the six (6) seconds.
Goat Tail Pull - Goat will be staked one
hundred (100) feet from starting line on a ten (10) foot rope. Contestant will ride down, dismount and
remove a ribbon from goat’s tail. Time will end when contestant removes ribbon
from tail. If horse touches goat or rope
anytime during the run, a ten (10) second penalty will be given. ONE (1) person will be allowed to
stand down by the goat, but if they touch the horse or contestant in any way,
it will be considered a lead line.
Barrels - Standard pattern will be
used. There will be a sixty (60) second
time limit. There will be a five (5)
second penalty if a barrel is knocked over.
Contestant will be disqualified for breaking the pattern or cross the
finish line before completing pattern.
Poles - Standard pattern will be used. There will be a sixty (60) second time
limit. There will be a five (5) second
penalty if a pole is knocked over.
Contestant will be disqualified for breaking the pattern or crossing the
finish line before completing the pattern.
Team Roping - Barrier will be used with a
ten (10) second penalty for breaking.
There will be a sixty (60) second time limit. Each contestant must rope with an adult
(eighteen (18) years or older). Legal
head catches are around the horns, around the neck, or a half head. The team will be allowed three loops. A dropped loop is considered a thrown loop.
Steer Stopping - Barrier will be used with a
ten (10) second penalty for breaking.
There will be a thirty (30) second time limit. Contestant will be allowed one (1) loop. Legal head catches is the same as team
roping. A dropped loop is considered a
thrown loop. Contestant must rope,
dally, and stop the steer with the steer facing their horse before time is
flagged.
Chute Dogging - Contestant and steer are
in the bucking chute. Score line will be
parallel to the bucking chute; it will be set at ten (10) feet in front of the
bucking chute. Time starts when animal’s
nose crosses the score line. The time
will stop when the steer is tipped and all four feet are faced in the same
direction. Only the contestant is
allowed in the chute with the steer.
Dogger gets inside w/the steer, left hand on the left horn, right hand
on or behind the right front shoulder. When
dogger calls for the steer the gate will open.
Dogger must keep right hand on or behind the shoulder until the steers
nose crosses the start line. If the
dogger moves into throwing position before the steers nose crosses the start
line, there will be a ten (10) second penalty added to the time. If the steer is thrown before crossing the
start line, the dogger will be disqualified.

NOTE:
TIME LIMITS WILL NOT APPLY TO THE PEEWEE’S (1ST
GRADE & UNDER) AGE GROUP. IF A HORSE
OR RIDER IS ASSISTED BY ANYONE, THEY WILL BE CONSIDERED A LEAD LINE. (This
includes leading by walking in front of a horse, touching the horse at any time
after horse & rider goes through the eye beam, assisting the rider at any
time after horse & rider goes through the eye beam, you CANNOT lead
from another horse or ride on the horse with the rider.) CONTESTANTS THAT
